In order to attract investment in the development of the economic and social spheres of the Khatlon region, to popularize the investment opportunities of the region among domestic and foreign investors, the International Economic Forum "Kulyab-2022" was held in the city of Kulyab, Khatlon region on August 26th-27th, 2022.

More than 300 participants have attended this Forum, including heads and officials of state bodies, investors from the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the business community of Dushanbe, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Sughd and Khatlon regions.

The Forum was also attended by representatives of the Rural Economy Development project, and in its separate sessions (panels) on the topics "Opportunities for developing business in the field of tourism and raising capital in the sectoral infrastructure of Khatlon region" and "Support for the agricultural sector - a stable basis for development economy of the region”, they provided the participants of the event with the necessary information on this project.

It should be noted that the main goal of the Rural Economy Development project is to improve the living standards of the population of Khatlon region and GBAO through the development of agribusiness and tourism.
